Why Therapeutic Massage?
Massage helps when tight muscles, trigger points, or stress-based tension are part of the problem. It can also support recovery when you’re already in a care plan.
- First, it can reduce neck, shoulder, and low back tension.
- Next, it can decrease muscle guarding and stress-related tightness.
- Additionally, it can support mobility, posture, and overuse recovery.
- Finally, it can improve circulation and promote relaxation.
Because every body is different, we adjust pressure, pacing, and focus areas each visit. That way, you get care that matches your goals.
Many patients searching for massage therapy in Honolulu want a balanced session that feels relaxing but still improves function. We plan for both.

Massage Therapy FAQ
How do I know which massage type to book?
If you’re unsure, start with a therapeutic (customized) session. Then your therapist can match the pressure and technique to your goals. Before you arrive, you can also complete the massage therapy intake form.
Can massage help with neck and low back pain?
Yes. In many cases, massage can reduce muscle tension and trigger points. As a result, you may feel better movement and less guarding. For best results, we often pair massage with simple mobility and posture-focused habits.
Do you accept Auto Accident (No-Fault) or Workers’ Comp?
Yes. However, claim-based care has specific steps. Please start on our MVA (PIP) & Workers’ Comp page for the correct intake process and scheduling guidance.
Do TriWest patients need a referral?
Typically yes. Therefore, we recommend reviewing our TriWest referral instructions first. That page explains authorization steps, who to contact, and how to schedule.
Appointment, Cancellation & Attendance Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.

- Late arrivals: may shorten treatment time; arrivals over 15 minutes may need rescheduling.
- MVA (PIP) / Workers’ Comp: consistent attendance supports documentation and claim compliance; missed-visit fees remain the patient’s responsibility.
